Long time passed by..

As usual like most of us my interest in keeping my blog alive has faded and the result is no message since long. But I feel to bring back life again with updates on what I am and how is world before me. I am back to India, Bangalore and started with my old life here. There is a lot of new observations in the way this city has changed during my away period of 2 years. Now malls every where and you get almost every product in INDIA. Bye the way Hi to all of my visitors and wish you a great time..

Our society needs a U-turn

Hi,

I was going through the below news in TOI
http://o3.indiatimes.com/mytimes/archive/2008/05/24/4921679.aspx

It is on public man handling a police man in pune for asking to close a liqour shop. Reading the news felt me I should share my opinion. India as a country progressed a lot in all fields in 21st century but not the way government system works since independence. Atleast our government needs to learn using technology and process from the west. I know it requires a lot of budget of doing this and change comes only when start at a point. Having said that, society should raise their voice for this to happen as our current politicans/ government will never gonna change the system unless public demands it. Also the current police force should be improved and everyone should come forward to avail their help. Hope our system changes....

Developer summit in India, bangalore...

The only knowledge sharing tech events I am aware of in Java technologies is Sun tech days which iI never miss when I am in a reach to attend it..

I came across this new one, http://developersummit.com/conference.html
a bit expensive thou but I seems quite promising. The speakers are really world class and I am pity to miss this great event being out of country...

Fellers, if you get a chance to attend (most companies sponser for employees) dont miss it. At these events, in addition to your area of technology you get a good idea of what is going in tech world. Also, you can make good geek friends here :-)

A trip to scotland....

Friends,

It was a nice trip to scotland country last week. I went along with a bunch of folks from London on a overnight journey to Glasgow on a coach. The seating in coach was poor as a result it was full of body aches and some how finally reached there by morning. On the way scenery was awesome.

On first day we been to Edinburgh, had a guided trip to castle, churches and their parliment. As the day was drizzling we did not had any outdoor walk.. The day went fine and finally munched some good sandwiches at McDonalds...

Second day is a highlight. From Glasgow we been to a hilly place named balloch. The place was fantastic and unforgettable. It was a feast to eyes. We had a boat trip on loch lomond for an hour and it was superb with nice view of hills on one side and castle on the other! Again its time to munch more at McD... After every body got exhausted, we started back to glasgow and get refreshed for a while followed by back to london....

You go to take breaks once in a while and to a place like scotland refreshes your mind and brings new energy.. Think of visiting once if you get a chance....

Health is Wealth...

I would have never realised the strengths I am blessed with and to live happily until I got sick and bed arrested with chicken pox virus recently. To tell you I never had any serious health concerns before to this. It was miserable days with no family members around to take care and console me as I was thousands of miles away from my parents and well wishers. Chicken pox at adult age is very difficult to withstand and recover.. Keeping this on one side, I some times used to be curse on my fate remembering failures in life like not making out of getting a seat in IIT's or missing a beloved one. I had a feeling why it was me all the time with no luck and people with less hardwork or those who I feel does not deserve pass thru it... Those 3 weeks of rest at home made me to recollect memories of life from child hood to recent life of what I achevied and what I failed. Overall, I had seen more than 50 percent success in my life. But still I used to live in a feeling of unhappiness about what I missed rather than enjoying and be proud of what I acheived. The sick days has really made me to remember what god has gifted to me, the good Health. I realised the value of great saying in telugu, "aarogeymey maha bagayam". From that day on, I am happy with no regrets to any thing that does not work out in my favour. I live in the feeling of If I lost something it is for a good reason.

Loooong weekend passed...

The Easter long weekend of 4 days passed just like that... It was an indoor weekend with time spent in surfing, watching movies, reading blogs and a little upgradtion to my professional skills. My desire to see a snow fall happened on sunday morning. It was specatular view from my window and I enjoyed it a lot. I watched the movie, 'Employee of the month' which I enjoyed a lot. The heroes approach to becoming employee of the month to impress a blonde girl and how he manages to be on upper side in the race is well presented.

I work in IT and never questioned my self what it means to a business until I saw the video of Ralph Szygenda, CIO of IBM on the way IBM transformed GM business model and addressed their biggest concern on minimizing life cycle of a new product development. It was a spectaculor presentation on how IBM introduction of IT in to GM company has transformed them to be a well intergrated company. Thought provoking... since then so many ideas are wandering in my mind on what new areas to explore which can be benefited from IT revolution. As usual I met my pals in badminton sessions and exchanged words on future of IT with current recession in US. Over all its a good weekend..

Life in London....

Hi amigos,

I am one of those lucky persons from India who was blessed with an onsite opportunity by my host company to UK for an assignment. Its almost 10 months passed by here and there are so many interesting observations I made.

People here are worth for an appreciation for the commitment to the job they do. Very few sees job as a money earning routine. Most of them enjoy life in a lavish spendings with less importance to saving grains for tommorow..

City is a blend of people from different ethnic groups which give you a chance to know about various cultures and their lifestyles...

I will write more about my personal experiences in london in my follow up posts..
